The IAOMC is committed to peer evaluation of the education provided by individual medical schools anywhere in the world. It is a non-stock, not for profit association. Its goal of is to serve society and those with an interest in the evaluation of quality of undergraduate medical education to enhance that education. The standards and process will be transparent and the evaluation results available to the public to inspire confidence in integrity of the process and findings.

There is a great deal of dissatisfaction among many United States State medical licensing authorities with the existing mechanisms of medical school evaluation. Several events have caused this. First, the Hartford Courant published a series of several articles in June and July 2003, which listed schools by the percentage of their graduates that had been disciplined.

In keeping with IAOMC policy of transparency all association or committee meetings, either in person, or by conference call will be accurately digested and posted by the Secretary and/or Assistant Secretary on this website. Should any person wish a written transcript of the entire discussion simply contact the Secretary, pay the fee and they will have an unedited transcript. Anyone wishing a copy or the tape from which the transcript was prepared should contact the Secretary, pay the fee and it will be promptly sent.
